This hands-on leader will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of information security within a large, mission-critical IT environment. From driving strategic security architecture to mentoring a high-impact team, this position is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, innovation-focused culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute a long-term vision and tactical roadmap for enterprise-wide security engineering initiatives.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to embed security best practices (including defense-in-depth and least privilege) across platforms and development lifecycles.
  • Oversee the management and continuous enhancement of the cybersecurity tool stack.
  • Implement scalable, risk-based security solutions tailored to business objectives rather than policy-based mandates alone.
  • Lead and grow a high-performing team of security engineers, providing coaching and strategic oversight to foster a culture of innovation and accountability.
  • Develop and report on key security metrics and KPIs to monitor and improve the organization’s security posture.
  • Promote a security-by-design mindset across teams by evangelizing architecture principles and secure development practices.

What Sets You Apart:

  • Passion for cybersecurity and the ability to solve complex technical challenges.
  • Proven ability to scale secure infrastructure and security solutions in a dynamic IT environment.
  • Deep understanding of secure enterprise architecture across cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Experience building secure CI/CD pipelines and integrating DevSecOps principles into engineering workflows.
  • Strong grasp of compliance frameworks including NIST, PCI DSS, GDPR, and SOX.
  • Awareness of current threat landscapes including advanced persistent threats.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience building and implementing security solutions within large, complex organizations.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience within security engineering or operations teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and communicate risk across technical and business stakeholders.
  • Clear commitment to integrity, ethics, and regulatory compliance.
