Quality Supervisor – 2nd Shift
Location: On-site | Pico Rivera, CA
Schedule/Hours: 2nd shift (2:30pm – 11pm)
Make Your Mark at an Employee-Owned Innovator
Our client is a 100 % employee-owned manufacturer that creates custom retail packaging and point-of-purchase displays for the world’s most recognizable consumer brands. Nearly seven decades of success - and a recent surge of investment in quality and lean manufacturing - have positioned the company for its next growth chapter. As the second-shift Quality Supervisor, you will steer a talented crew of inspectors, elevate plant-wide processes, and showcase the power of continuous improvement in a culture that believes work should be both high-impact and fun.
What You’ll Tackle
- Lead the quality culture. Direct 6-8 inspectors, set daily priorities, and coach front-line teams during Gemba walks.
- Own ISO compliance & training. Maintain the quality manual, run refresher sessions, and keep documentation audit-ready.
- Be the face of customer audits. Plan, host, and close the loop on client, regulatory, and third-party reviews.
- Drive Lean / Kaizen events. Facilitate workshops, create action plans, and track savings that cut total manufacturing cost.
- Eliminate waste through data. Trend defects and downtime, implement 5S & SMED improvements, and publish shift metrics that keep stakeholders aligned.
- Mentor for change. Challenge colleagues to “see waste,” use root-cause thinking, and sustain gains long after each project closes.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree (Engineering or Industrial preferred) and 7 + years of manufacturing quality leadership.
- Hands-on expertise with ISO 9001, Lean/Six Sigma, GMP, or equivalent quality systems.
- Proven facilitator - 50 + Kaizen or similar CI events with measurable results.
- Comfortable supervising a full production shift and rallying cross-functional teams toward shared goals.
- Packaging, corrugated, or print-production background a strong plus; Spanish/English bilingual skills welcomed.
Why You’ll Love It
- Employee Ownership: Build equity in every box that ships.
- High Visibility: Report to plant leadership, influence cap-ex and strategy.
- Career Path: Advance into multi-shift or plant-wide Quality Management.
- Comprehensive Rewards: Competitive base + bonus, robust health benefits, 401(k) with match, ESOP.
