Sales Account Manager – Cold Chain

Location: Remote – Based in or near San Diego, CA or Phoenix, AZ

Travel: Up to 50%



A leader in specialized packaging solutions is seeking a dynamic Sales Account Manager – Cold Chain to manage and grow a multi-state territory. This role is pivotal to accelerating revenue growth and expanding market share across cold chain and temperature-sensitive shipping industries. The ideal candidate will bring strong sales acumen, a proven track record in managing multimillion-dollar books of business, and a hunger to drive success within a high-performance, supportive culture.


This is a fully remote opportunity with regional travel and the chance to work alongside experienced sales leadership in a fast-moving, collaborative environment. Internal training is provided on cold chain packaging and proven consultative sales methodologies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Own and grow a defined sales territory through strategic prospecting, territory planning, and relationship management.
  • Identify new business opportunities while expanding key accounts through consultative selling and solution-based strategies.
  • Meet and exceed assigned quarterly and annual sales goals including profitability targets.
  • Maintain up-to-date pipeline reports and participate in regular sales forecasting, planning, and review sessions.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with internal engineering, customer success, and operations teams to ensure on-time, high-quality client deliverables.
  • Lead customer presentations, quote management, and contract discussions.
  • Implement long-term account development plans and retention strategies to maximize client value.
  • Track and manage sales activities, opportunities, and communications using CRM tools.
  • Support market feedback loop with insights from client interactions, contributing to innovation and service improvement.
  • Represent the organization at trade shows, networking events, and client meetings as a brand ambassador.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of sales experience with a history of managing a $5M+ book of business.
  • Experience within manufacturing, packaging, or cold chain logistics preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required.
  • CRM proficiency (Salesforce or similar platform) and strong Microsoft Office Suite skills.
  • A disciplined self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, change-oriented environments.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills related to margin oversight, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% regionally.
