QA/QC Manager

Location: Barstow, TX

Our client is seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager to take ownership of quality execution for a technically complex commercial construction program in Barstow, TX. This is an opportunity to play a highly visible role on a demanding project where precision, documentation, field coordination, and disciplined execution are critical to success. The right leader will have the autonomy to shape site quality practices, partner closely with construction leadership, and help ensure sophisticated building systems are delivered correctly from initial installation through final turnover.

Focus:

• Own the site quality program from preinstallation planning through final turnover.
• Translate contract requirements into practical inspection checkpoints for field teams and trade partners.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, and verification activities with project leadership, third party agencies, and client stakeholders.
• Document quality concerns promptly, guide corrective actions, and confirm resolution before dependent work moves forward.
• Build and maintain clear quality records, including inspection reports, testing documentation, issue logs, and closeout files.
• Confirm tools and instruments used for verification are suitable, maintained, and within required calibration intervals.
• Track quality trends and communicate actionable findings to construction leadership.
• Perform internal reviews and help prepare the project team for owner, agency, and independent inspections.
• Partner with operations teams to embed quality expectations into work plans, sequencing, subcontractor coordination, and schedule execution.
• Support submittal reviews, installation planning, inspection forms, and turnover readiness for complex building systems.
• Reinforce a field culture centered on workmanship, accountability, organization, and continuous improvement.

Skill Set:

• 7+ years of quality control or quality assurance experience in commercial construction.
• Working knowledge of construction engineering methods, codes, standards, inspection practices, and project documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, written instructions, diagrams, and technical requirements.
• Experience supporting technically complex commercial, industrial, healthcare, data center, or mission critical construction is strongly valued.
• Strong organization, analysis, and problem solving skills with the ability to manage competing field priorities.
• Comfort using Microsoft Office and common construction document management platforms.
• Clear, professional communication skills across craft, subcontractor, project leadership, client, and inspection groups.
• Degree in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline is preferred. Equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
