Business Development Manager – Telecom OEM/Equipment

Location: Remote, Nationwide


A fast-growing player in the telecom infrastructure and equipment sector is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to drive strategic growth and expand their market presence across North America. This is a pivotal opportunity for a seasoned sales leader to shape and accelerate commercial success through relationship-building, innovative sales strategies, and deep market knowledge within telecom OEM and related industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead business development efforts across key telecom markets, creating go-to-market strategies that support long-term expansion.
  • Identify, evaluate, and close new business opportunities with OEMs, network operators, utilities, and channel partners.
  • Manage and engage with sales agencies and reps nationwide to support high-performance sales execution in both remote and field environments.
  • Foster strong, trust-based relationships with partners, clients, and stakeholders across the telecom ecosystem.
  • Conduct competitive and market analysis to identify trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (product, operations, finance, marketing) to align business initiatives with customer needs.
  • Build and deliver business cases for major growth opportunities, with analysis on ROI and risk.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, customer meetings, and industry events to elevate brand visibility and generate demand.
  • Provide regular reporting on sales pipeline health, revenue goals, and market feedback.
  • Advise executive leadership on new markets, partnership potential, and scalable revenue strategies.

 

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in business development, with at least 5 years focused on telecom or adjacent verticals such as utility networks or network hardware.
  • Proven success managing channel partners, sales agencies, or manufacturers' reps.
  • Experience with strategic selling into OEMs and national telecom or infrastructure accounts.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to build ROI-focused business cases.
  • Effective communicator with polished presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence at all levels.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (NetSuite or similar) and MS Office 365.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% nationwide to meet with clients and partners.
