Outside Sales Account Manager


A growing industrial solutions organization is investing heavily in new market expansion and is seeking an Outside Sales Account Manager to help launch and scale high potential territories across the U.S. This is an opportunity for a true builder, someone who enjoys opening doors, creating momentum, and turning untapped regions into long term revenue engines. The right person will step into a highly visible field sales role with strong leadership support, structured training, and the chance to shape customer relationships from the ground up while building meaningful earning potential. In this role, you will spend the majority of your time meeting customers face to face, identifying new business opportunities, and building lasting partnerships across manufacturing, operations, maintenance, and procurement environments. Success requires confidence in industrial settings, strong personal accountability, and the discipline to manage pipeline activity consistently.


What You Will Do

  • Open and grow a newly established territory by converting prospects into long term customers.
  • Drive a strong mix of new business development and account growth activity throughout the assigned market.
  • Meet customers onsite and build relationships with plant, operations, maintenance, and purchasing stakeholders.
  • Create and execute a territory plan focused on revenue growth, margin performance, and customer retention.
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline through cold outreach, referrals, follow up, and in person meetings.
  • Use CRM tools daily to document activity, manage opportunities, and track progress against goals.
  • Partner with internal teams across service, operations, and support functions to deliver a strong customer experience.
  • Represent the company professionally in industrial and blue collar environments, adapting communication style to the audience.
  • Travel regularly within the territory and manage a field schedule with a high level of independence.


What You Bring

  • Proven success in outside sales, business development, or territory growth within industrial, manufacturing, distribution, MRO, construction supply, or related markets.
  • Strong hunter mindset with the ability to win net new business.
  • Consultative selling skills and a relationship driven approach.
  • Comfort working in the field most days, including local travel and customer site visits.
  • Experience using CRM systems to manage activity and pipeline performance.
  • Strong communication, planning, and follow through skills.
  • Self directed style with the ability to build a territory with limited day to day oversight.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout the assigned geography.
  • Associate degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
