This is a high-visibility opportunity for someone who wants to shape how projects are delivered, elevate project leadership talent, and help drive consistent performance across safety, schedule, quality, and margin.
In this role, the Director of Project Management will serve as a strategic operational leader across active work, helping the business scale with greater predictability and stronger execution. The right person will be equally comfortable leading people, improving process, reviewing financial performance, and stepping in when projects require experienced leadership and sound judgment.
What you will do

- Coach, develop, and hold project leaders accountable for performance, communication, and results.
- Improve the consistency of project controls, internal reporting, and operating discipline across the project management function.
- Own visibility into budgets, forecasts, cost exposure, and margin performance, helping teams address issues early.
- Partner closely with operations, field leadership, finance, and preconstruction to keep project assumptions aligned with real-world execution.
- Support contract administration, change management, and issue resolution to reduce risk and protect business outcomes.
- Serve as a senior point of contact for customers and project stakeholders when escalation, alignment, or executive presence is needed.
- Reinforce high standards around safety, workmanship, and dependable delivery across the portfolio.
- Help strengthen team capability through mentoring, performance management, and leadership development.
What you bring
- Ten or more years of project management experience in construction.
- Several years of leadership experience overseeing multiple projects, project managers, or both.
- Strong command of project financials, forecasting, cost control, and operational reporting.
- Experience working through schedule pressure, change management, and project risk in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to build credibility with field teams, executive leadership, and external stakeholders.
- Background in concrete construction or closely related self-perform construction environments is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
Why this opportunity stands out
This role offers the chance to influence project outcomes at a meaningful scale, build stronger systems, and help shape the next phase of operational growth for a respected construction business.
