CSA Data Center – Design & Build Lead
Location: On-site, Atlanta, GA
A confidential leader in liquid-cooled, high-density data-center infrastructure is building a flagship facility in the Atlanta metro. To steer every civil, structural, and architectural deliverable from concept through commissioning, we are hiring an accomplished CSA Data Center – Design & Build Lead. In this highly visible role, you will own design integrity, code compliance, field execution, and seamless integration with MEP and IT/OT teams for a next-generation AI/HPC campus.
What You’ll Tackle
- Lead detailed design for foundations, steel frames, mezzanines, equipment pads, and pipe supports, validating against gravity, wind, seismic, vibration, and dynamic loads.
- Align CSA solutions with liquid-cooling distribution, anchorage, and thermal-expansion requirements.
- Direct geotechnical assessments, grading plans, drainage, and site utilities.
- Develop layouts for high-density computing halls, support spaces, docks, and access routes, ensuring flow, maintainability, and future scalability.
- Specify envelope, roofing, insulation, waterproofing, fire-stopping, and penetrations for performance and durability.
- Champion compliance with IBC, NFPA, ASCE/ACI/AISC, ADA, and local AHJ requirements; prepare documentation for permitting, inspections, and approvals.
- Drive value-engineering initiatives that optimize cost, schedule, and embodied-carbon targets.
- Provide on-site technical direction for foundations, steel erection, envelope, and finishes; review RFIs, shop drawings, and material submittals.
- Oversee trenching, excavation, utility installation, and grading for design conformance and safety.
- Verify anchorage, fire barriers, egress, and CSA punch lists; deliver complete as-built documentation for turnover.
- Lead CSA risk mitigation, embed QA/QC processes, and champion OSHA best practices.
What You Bring
- Degree in relevant engineering field (BS/MS)
- 7+ years delivering CSA scope for mission-critical, industrial, or data-center projects, ideally in fast-track design-build settings.
- Deep knowledge of building codes and standards; PE license (or eligibility) and Georgia General Contractor license preferred.
- Proven success coordinating with MEP disciplines and resolving field issues swiftly.
- Familiarity with AI/HPC, liquid-cooling, or Tier-rated facilities is a strong plus.
Why Join
- Shape the future: Influence a ground-up, sustainability-focused data center that pushes the limits of compute density.
- Collaborate with visionaries: Work alongside pioneers in advanced cooling and high-density design.
- Grow your career: Competitive pay, robust benefits, and clear advancement pathways within a rapidly expanding organization.
