Senior Scheduler

A leading, innovation-driven construction consultancy is seeking a Senior Scheduler to join their growing, high-performance team. This firm partners with some of the most prominent organizations in the mission-critical infrastructure space, helping clients manage large-scale, complex projects across data centers, healthcare, higher education, and more. As part of this team, you’ll play a critical role in optimizing phased delivery and project scheduling for highly technical construction initiatives.
This is a remote opportunity open to candidates across the United States who are looking to bring strategic impact to high-profile construction programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed project schedules in pre-construction phases, incorporating key milestones for design, permitting, procurement, and execution.
- Mentor and lead a team of remote scheduling professionals, offering coaching, performance feedback, and growth opportunities.
- Develop and maintain baseline schedules that support phased commissioning, fast-track strategies, and evolving project scopes.
- Conduct critical path and what-if analyses to forecast delays, identify risks, and proactively recommend mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams across design, procurement, and finance to align schedule data with real-world project requirements.
- Keep schedules continuously updated to reflect field progress, design revisions, and equipment lead times.
- Develop commissioning plans that align with MEP and IT system turnovers and integrate with broader project timelines.
- Leverage industry tools (such as MS Project and Procore) to enhance efficiency and reporting capabilities; identify opportunities for tool/process improvements.
- Serve as the scheduling lead in client meetings and quarterly business reviews, providing insights and action plans for schedule performance and future planning.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience in scheduling and project management for data centers or mission-critical infrastructure.
- Strong background in strategic scheduling techniques, with expertise in fast-track, phased, and parallel commissioning delivery models.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and grow high-performing teams.
- Proficiency in MS Project (required); knowledge of Primavera P6 is a plus.
- Skilled in developing integrated schedules using work breakdown structures, logic sequencing, and resource loading.
- Clear understanding of how scheduling integrates with cost controls, procurement, change management, and risk analysis.
- Strong facilitation skills to lead schedule reviews, coordination meetings, and planning workshops.
- Familiarity with field construction processes and ability to translate real-world constraints into actionable schedule updates.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present technical scheduling data to both internal stakeholders and clients.
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant experience in mission-critical environments.
- Proven success aligning cross-functional stakeholders around complex schedule strategies.
- Hands-on knowledge of commissioning and turnover processes for technical systems.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate large amounts of data into clear strategies.
