Drive the build-out of next-generation fiber networks across the Valley.

Our client, a fast-growing telecom infrastructure developer, is scaling its Arizona program and needs a construction-savvy Project Manager to keep multiple outside-plant (OSP) builds on track. If you thrive on juggling schedules, permits, budgets, and stakeholder expectations—while seeing tangible network miles go live—this role offers the runway to shape a marquee market launch and grow into broader Southwest leadership.

What’s in It for You

  • Competitive base salary, annual performance bonus, and full health benefits.
  • Hybrid schedule—split time between field/office (approx. 2-3 days on-site) and home.
  • Company-provided laptop, phone, and mileage reimbursement.
  • Direct line of sight to future Market Director opportunities as the corridor expands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive metro fiber build initiatives from inception to completion, spearheading site acquisition, network design, regulatory approvals, construction management, and project wrap-up to deliver results on time and within budget
  • Facilitate weekly progress huddles with owners, utility partners, field supervisors, and subcontractors; surface risks early and drive corrective action.
  • Serve as primary liaison to city planning and right-of-way departments, preparing compliant permit packages and securing approvals.
  • Represent projects at public hearings, cultivating strong relationships with inspectors, zoning staff, councils, and neighborhood stakeholders.
  • Direct external vendors and subcontractors, validating deliverables and enforcing quality, safety, and cost controls.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation in the PMO system and issue clear status, financial, and close-out reports.
  • Escalate critical blockers promptly to leadership to protect customer milestones.

Skills & Experience

  • Hold a degree in a relevant field such as project management, technical sciences, or business administration, or possess equivalent professional experience that demonstrates expertise in managing construction projects
  • 5+ years leading fiber or telecom construction projects, including hands-on permitting and OSP work.
  • Proven ability to manage complex initiatives and deliver results.
  • Ability to read civil prints and splice diagrams; proficiency with Microsoft Office; GIS/Google Earth familiarity a plus.
  • Skilled at navigating and collaborating with public sector agencies through effective communication.
  • Capacity for local travel around Phoenix and occasional regional trips (<10 %).
