Outside Sales – Contractor (Lighting)
Location: Remote – U.S.
The ideal candidate will reside in the Southeast or Southcentral U.S.
A high-growth lighting solutions provider is expanding its contractor-focused sales division and seeking driven professionals to join their dynamic team. Known for delivering cutting-edge lighting systems and unmatched customer service, this organization partners with major electrical and general contractors to bring architectural, commercial, and industrial projects to life. Key Responsibilities:
- Drive sales growth by building and maintaining relationships with Electrical and General Contractors, Interior Architects, and Design Firms.
- Conduct 3–5+ client meetings or sales calls per day to develop a healthy and active pipeline.
- Deliver tailored lighting solutions and provide expert product knowledge to clients.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure accurate order processing, pricing, and project support.
- Serve as the go-to resource for lighting trends, technology, and application knowledge through continuous training.
- Manage client expectations, provide post-sale support, and ensure customer satisfaction through excellent service.
- Monitor project timelines and assist in coordinating deliverables when needed.
- Own the full sales cycle, from lead generation through closing and account management.
Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in B2B outside sales, preferably within the lighting industry.
- Strong understanding of project lifecycle management and experience generating lighting submittals and quotes.
- Proven ability to assess customer needs and recommend appropriate lighting solutions.
- Self-starter with excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Highly competent in Microsoft Office applications (document creation, spreadsheet analysis, email management, and presentation design) with strong online research capabilities.
- Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a remote setting.
