Our client, a nationwide provider of field services to regulated gas utilities, is expanding two high-growth districts and needs an experienced Project Manager to build high-performing crews, champion safety, and delight customers. In this role you will own the people, processes, and P&L for large-scale meter exchange and leak-detection projects, traveling regularly between Texas and Georgia sites to keep initiatives on track and teams inspired.
What You’ll Tackle
- Lead day-to-day field operations for natural-gas service projects, setting clear goals around safety, quality, schedule, and budget.
- Forecast labor, materials, and fleet needs; monitor costs versus plan and drive corrective actions.
- Oversee preventive maintenance programs that keep vehicles, tools, and equipment inspection-ready at all times.
- Hire, coach, and mentor supervisors and technicians while promoting a culture of continuous improvement and talent retention.
- Administer Operator Qualification (OQ) training, audits, and regulatory compliance for meter exchanges and relights.
- Conduct routine site inspections and quality reviews, turning findings into actionable improvement plans.
- Serve as primary point of contact for utility clients—resolving escalations quickly and providing clear KPI reporting.
- Partner with senior leadership on annual operating plans, new-market launches, and process-efficiency initiatives.
What You’ll Bring
- High-school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s in business, construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
- 3 + years managing field crews on gas-distribution, meter installation, or similar utility projects.
- At least 1 year in a people-leadership role with responsibility for hiring, performance management, and training.
- Eligibility to become an OQ proctor/evaluator for natural-gas tasks.

- Ability to lift 50 lbs, work indoors/outdoors, and sustain frequent travel.
Bonus Points
- PMP®, Six Sigma, or Lean certification.
- Prior accountability for multi-state utility programs (gas, water, or electric).
- Experience introducing automation or digital reporting tools to field operations.
Why Join
- Competitive salary plus company vehicle and full benefits from day one.
