Production Supervisor – 3rd Shift

Location: On-site, Simi Valley, CA

Schedule: 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM

A rapidly growing manufacturer in the food packaging supply chain is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee third shift operations at its expanding Southern California facility. This organization is investing heavily in new production capacity and operational improvements, creating an opportunity for a hands-on manufacturing leader to play a key role in stabilizing and scaling operations.

Focus

• Lead and coordinate nightly production activities to ensure schedule attainment, product quality, and operational safety.
• Oversee shift personnel assignments and staffing to maintain efficient production flow.
• Monitor production performance, identify issues quickly, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and processing challenges to maintain consistent output.
• Collaborate with plant leadership on production priorities, operational issues, and process improvements.
• Inspect materials and finished products to ensure they meet required specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate shift reports and production documentation.
• Promote and enforce workplace safety, quality procedures, and facility standards.
• Support training and development of operators and production staff.
• Maintain organization, cleanliness, and operational readiness across the manufacturing floor.

Skill Set

• 3 or more years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
• Previous leadership or shift supervision experience in a production setting strongly preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical or production line issues in real time.
• Experience working in fast paced manufacturing operations.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
• Basic computer skills and ability to complete production documentation.
• Ability to perform basic measurements and interpret production specifications.
• Forklift certification or prior experience is beneficial.
• Bilingual English and Spanish skills are highly desirable.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Relevant technical training or additional manufacturing experience is a plus.
