Construction Manager Owner's Representative

Location: Milam County, Texas

A well-funded, fast-growing consultancy that supports Fortune 500 hyperscalers and colocation providers is expanding its mission-critical delivery team. As the Construction Manager Owner’s Representative, you will champion large-scale data-center builds from concept through commissioning, acting as the client’s trusted advisor on scope, schedule, cost, and risk. In this highly visible role you will blend construction know-how with cloud-infrastructure insights to help global enterprises deliver reliable capacity at lightning speed.

This Role Offers:

·        You will join an award-winning, remote-friendly culture that values innovation, transparency, and doing the right thing. Expect abundant professional-development resources, direct access to senior leadership, and the autonomy to make a tangible impact on next-generation infrastructure.

·        Competitive base salary and performance bonus.

·        Comprehensive health coverage, 401(k) with match, generous flexible PTO, charitable-giving match, and more.

Focus:

·        Drive multiple green-field and expansion data-center programs, aligning budgets, milestones, and quality targets with executive goals.

·        Lead cross-functional collaboration among design, construction, IT, compliance, and finance stakeholders, ensuring seamless hand-offs and accountability.

·        Oversee contractor selection, contract negotiations, change management, and vendor performance to protect the owner’s interests.

·        Develop and maintain integrated master schedules (Primavera P6, MS Project) and cost-control dashboards (Procore or similar).

·        Guide Level 1-5 commissioning, capacity planning, and MEP resilience strategies to meet 24/7 uptime requirements.

·        Implement data-driven KPIs that optimize performance, sustainability, and total cost of ownership.

·        Identify risks early, draft mitigation plans, and present concise progress reports to senior leadership.

Skill Set:

·        3+ years managing mission-critical capital projects (data centers, cloud, or large-scale tech builds) in an owner-side capacity.

·        Deep knowledge of power distribution, cooling, and low-voltage/IT integration as well as hands-on commissioning oversight.

·        Fluency with project-controls software (P6, Procore, BIM/Bluebeam) and familiarity with cloud-based collaboration tools.

·        Proven ability to influence diverse teams and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

·        Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, IT, or related field; PMP, CCM, LEED AP, or OSHA 30 a plus.

·        Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Preferred Extras

·        Experience negotiating hyperscale colocation leases or strategic capacity expansions.

·        Advanced degree (MBA or technical master’s) and track record of driving automation or digital-twin initiatives.
