Key Responsibilities

• Execute and continuously refine day-ahead and real-time Virtual and Up-To-Congestion strategies in PJM, generating consistent, risk-adjusted returns.
• Monitor ISO tariff changes, transmission constraints, and fundamental drivers that affect basis and congestion, translating insights into timely trade decisions.
• Direct all aspects of portfolio risk—limits, collateral, and capital requirements—while providing transparent performance reporting.
• Build and maintain quantitative dashboards and models (Python, SQL, R, or similar) to enhance strategy selection, back-testing, and P&L attribution.
• Share market intelligence and trade ideas with fellow traders via Slack, fostering a culture of knowledge exchange and continuous improvement.
• Document post-trade reviews, lessons learned, and market insights to accelerate firmwide learning.

Required Background & Skills

• Minimum two years of profitable proprietary trading in PJM Virtuals/UTCs or closely related derivatives, ideally exceeding $1 million annual gross margin.
• Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of trading strategy—from idea generation and sizing to execution and risk management.
• Deep familiarity with PJM market data (Day-Ahead/Real-Time LMPs, outages, congestion trends) and ICE power contracts.
• Proficiency with analytical languages (Python, SQL) plus strong Excel skills; capable of building ad-hoc tools and automating workflows.
• Self-directed, highly communicative, and comfortable in a fully remote, performance-driven environment.
• Authorized to work in the United States; open to W-2 or 1099 engagement structures.
