Manufacturing Consulting Delivery Manager

Location: Remote, Nationwide (Extensive Travel Required)

They are seeking a Manufacturing Consulting Delivery Manager to lead complex consulting engagements for industrial clients across North America. This position is ideal for an experienced manufacturing operations leader who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys solving challenging operational problems, and is passionate about helping manufacturing organizations reach higher levels of performance.

Focus

• Lead multiple manufacturing consulting engagements from project initiation through successful completion.
• Serve as the primary client contact while developing trusted relationships with executive leadership and plant management teams.
• Build comprehensive project plans including budgets, resource allocation, schedules, project controls, and delivery milestones.
• Monitor project performance, proactively identify risks, and implement corrective actions to ensure successful outcomes.
• Partner with clients to establish meaningful operational metrics and key performance indicators that measure business improvement.
• Analyze manufacturing operations and develop practical recommendations supported by financial analysis and measurable return on investment.
• Prepare polished executive level PowerPoint presentations and confidently present findings, recommendations, and implementation strategies to senior leadership.
• Coordinate consulting resources while mentoring project team members and promoting consistent delivery excellence.
• Identify opportunities to expand existing client engagements through exceptional service and trusted advisory relationships.
• Maintain an active presence within manufacturing facilities to ensure recommendations are practical, sustainable, and aligned with operational realities.

Skill Set

• Manufacturing operations or plant leadership experience with extensive shop floor expertise.
• Demonstrated success managing client facing manufacturing consulting engagements.
• Strong executive communication skills with experience developing and delivering executive level PowerPoint presentations.
• Proven project management expertise including project controls, budgeting, KPI development, scheduling, and resource planning.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving capabilities.
• Experience influencing cross functional stakeholders in complex manufacturing environments.
• Background in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, Six Sigma, or related improvement methodologies is highly desirable.
• Bachelor's degree required. Advanced business or engineering education is a plus.
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively, up to 90 percent, supporting client engagements throughout North America.
