BESS Sales Engineer

Location: Remote – Atlanta, GA

 

 

Are you passionate about driving the clean energy transition? We are seeking a BESS Sales Engineer to join a rapidly expanding energy solutions provider. This is an exciting opportunity to help customers adopt cutting-edge energy storage systems that improve resiliency, reduce costs, and support sustainability goals.

 

As a trusted technical advisor, you will partner closely with sales teams and customers to design, present, and deliver battery energy storage solutions (BESS) across critical industries including data centers, manufacturing, utilities, and logistics. This role blends technical expertise with customer engagement, offering the chance to directly influence the adoption of innovative renewable technologies nationwide.

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with sales to assess customer needs and develop tailored energy storage solutions.
  • Prepare technical and financial proposals that align with customer goals and sustainability objectives.
  • Deliver presentations and product demonstrations to both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Support RFQ/RFI/RFP processes by responding to functional and technical requirements.
  • Provide technical training and support to internal teams, channel partners, and end-users.
  • Conduct site visits as needed for solution design, integration, and commissioning.
  • Maintain accurate records of opportunities, proposals, and customer interactions.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle.

 

 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Technical field, or equivalent hands-on industry experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in energy storage, power systems, or related technical sales engineering.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, with the ability to read and interpret schematics/blueprints.
  • Familiarity with communication and control protocols (Ethernet, VPN, TCP/IP, etc.).
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex systems clearly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with design tools such as AutoCAD or Visio preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% for customer meetings, site assessments, and project support.
