What You’ll Do
- Design the long-term structure, headcount plan, and budget for a multi-disciplinary service department.
- Lead, coach, and develop second-level managers, project leaders, contract administrators, and field technicians while championing a culture of continuous improvement.
- Own full contract life-cycle management - scoping, pricing, change orders, reporting, and client escalations.
- Implement and optimize CMMS, project management, and mobile field-service applications to drive real-time visibility and data-driven decisions.
- Standardize operating procedures for vehicle fleets, tooling, safety, and quality, ensuring every job meets contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with business development to validate labor and material estimates and craft execution plans that win new maintenance and retrofit opportunities.
- Visit job sites to audit workmanship, strengthen customer relationships, and surface add-on revenue opportunities.
- Track departmental KPIs, spot performance gaps, and launch targeted process-improvement projects to boost productivity and margin.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, or a related technical discipline.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience, including at least five years running service, maintenance, or construction teams and three years leading other managers.
- Record of driving process excellence, workforce planning, and change management in technical field-service environments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with CMMS or project-management software.
- Exceptional communication skills - able to translate technical details into clear business value for executives and customers alike.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship; ability to travel domestically up to 5%.
