Sports Lighting Sales Representative

Location: Remote - Nationwide

Our client is expanding its presence in the sports and athletic lighting market and is looking for a relationship-driven sales professional ready to build something meaningful. This is an opportunity to develop a territory of business while benefiting from an established organization's existing market activity, technical resources, and sales support. The right person will combine new-business energy with the patience and follow-through needed to win project-based opportunities across schools, universities, municipalities, recreation organizations, contractors, and athletic facilities.

This role can be based remotely anywhere in the United States, with a preference for candidates in the greater Atlanta area. Travel is not expected to be heavy or follow a fixed schedule. Customer meetings, site visits, and business-development opportunities will determine when travel makes sense.

This Role Offers:

  • Competitive base salary, based on experience and relevant industry relationships.
  • Uncapped commission with increased earning potential for self-generated business.
  • Access to existing opportunities and established relationships while building your own customer base.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance, including substantial employer support toward employee health premiums.
  • 401(k) with company match and a competitive paid time off program.

Focus:

  • Build a national pipeline for athletic lighting projects by opening new accounts and expanding relationships across education, municipal, recreation, contractor, and facility channels.
  • Own opportunities from early discovery through proposal follow-up and close, keeping momentum across project-based buying cycles.
  • Turn qualified inbound interest and existing market activity into revenue while creating a steady stream of self-sourced opportunities.
  • Learn each customer's facility goals, project timing, and commercial requirements, then connect those needs with practical lighting solutions.
  • Partner with internal technical and operations resources on solution configuration, lighting layouts, pricing, availability, and order execution.
  • Maintain disciplined pipeline visibility, next steps, and follow-up so longer-cycle opportunities continue moving forward.
  • Conduct targeted outreach and relationship development with decision makers tied to athletic fields and recreational facilities.
  • Meet customers and visit project sites when business needs warrant, with travel driven by active opportunities rather than a heavy fixed schedule.

Skill Set:

  • Demonstrated sales and relationship-building ability, including confidence prospecting, winning new accounts, and developing a book of business.
  • Experience managing opportunities that require sustained follow-up over a longer, project-oriented sales cycle.
  • Clear, responsive communication and strong personal organization across multiple customers, projects, and next steps.
  • Relevant sports lighting exposure is preferred, including experience in outside sales, inside sales, project support, or sales coordination.
  • Candidates from adjacent athletic-facility markets are welcome when they bring relevant relationships and genuine interest in learning sports lighting.
  • Existing connections with K-12 schools, colleges and universities, municipalities, Parks and Recreation teams, athletic directors, contractors, or facility owners and operators.
  • Comfort working independently in a remote sales environment while collaborating closely with technical, commercial, and fulfillment partners.
  • Motivation to grow an outside-sales territory and build durable customer relationships over time.
