Sr Account Development Representative
Location: Hybrid in Torrance, CA – expected to work in-office 1-2 days per week

Our client, an established innovator in motion-control and flight-critical technologies, is expanding its West Coast footprint. They need a high-impact Sr Account Development Representative to deepen strategic relationships, uncover new program wins, and shape long-term revenue strategy throughout Southern California. What You’ll Do
- Cultivate executive-level partnerships with prime OEMs, tier-one suppliers, and integrators in military and commercial aviation, aligning technical roadmaps to customer objectives.
- Orchestrate pursuit & capture plans - from early opportunity shaping through proposal, pricing, and contract award - with cross-functional engineering, program, and finance teams.
- Expand the sales funnel by identifying emerging platforms, retrofit programs, and adjacent markets; build data-driven business cases that gain internal funding.
- Negotiate multiyear agreements that balance profitability, risk, and customer value while meeting division margin targets.
- Forecast accurately (bookings, revenue, and GM) and maintain robust pipeline health metrics in CRM.
- Serve as voice of customer - provide competitive intelligence, market trends, and product-gap feedback to guide R&D and portfolio roadmaps.
- Champion internal collaboration, ensuring seamless hand-off to Program Management for flawless program launch and execution.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or related discipline.
- 7+ years progressive success in aerospace & defense account management, technical sales, or capture management.
- Demonstrated wins on complex electromechanical, hydraulics, avionics, or propulsion programs.
- Deep knowledge of DoD acquisition, FAR/DFARS, and international ITAR / EAR compliance.
- Record of negotiating LTAs, rate agreements, and life-cycle support contracts exceeding $50 M.
- Ability to travel regionally 40–50 %.
