Regional Sales Manager (Aerospace & Defense Electronics)

A confidential manufacturer supporting highly engineered aerospace and defense applications is expanding its commercial footprint and strengthening its national sales coverage. This is a strong opportunity for a driven sales professional who thrives on building new relationships, uncovering fresh program opportunities, and winning complex business in technical markets. The person in this role will help shape territory growth strategy, influence customer capture efforts, and work closely with leadership in a visible, high-impact position.

Focus

  • Drive net new business development across a nationwide territory, with a strong emphasis on design wins, market expansion, and long-cycle opportunity creation.
  • Build relationships with OEMs, defense contractors, channel partners, and other strategic accounts through consultative, technically credible selling.
  • Manage regional sales activity with strong discipline around CRM usage, forecasting, reporting, and territory planning.
  • Lead and develop independent manufacturer representative relationships to improve channel effectiveness and regional coverage.
  • Translate customer needs into coordinated internal action by partnering with engineering, operations, and commercial teams.
  • Monitor customer activity, market movement, and competitive dynamics to identify profitable growth opportunities.
  • Travel extensively for customer meetings, partner visits, industry events, and trade shows.


Required Background

  • Must bring at least 5 years of experience within the aerospace and defense manufacturing environment.
  • Proven success identifying opportunities, building a qualified sales funnel, and converting prospects into long-term clients.
  • A technical sales background is required, along with the ability to credibly discuss RF products and support a consultative selling process.
  • Engineering degree is strongly preferred, although comparable technical industry depth may also be considered.
  • Experience managing manufacturer representatives and indirect sales channels, ideally within a structured environment that values accountability, process discipline, and measurable performance.
  • Additional preference will be given to individuals with experience in RF, microwave, aerospace, defense, or space-related markets, especially those with success selling engineered or customized solutions.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
