Industry: Multinational Manufacturing | Industrial Technology

Seniority Level: Department Head | Executive Financial Leadership

A globally recognized, innovation-driven manufacturing organization is building out a new Corporate Controlling function at the group level. With operations across North America, Europe, and Asia, they are experiencing rapid growth and are seeking a hands-on, strategic finance executive to stand up and lead this new department.

This is a high-impact role where you’ll architect global accounting and controlling operations from the ground up. You’ll partner directly with C-level leaders to standardize processes, drive compliance, and implement best-in-class financial governance across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Launch and scale a new global corporate controlling department, serving as the financial connective tissue across business units worldwide.
  • Lead initiatives related to IFRS/US GAAP reporting, budgeting, multi-entity consolidation, and strategic financial planning.
  • Build and enforce group-wide accounting policies, process documentation, and internal controls.
  • Oversee ERP system configuration and ongoing improvement (Epicor platform experience preferred).
  • Manage financial and compliance readiness for new entity launches, including legal registrations, tax setup, and insurance.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, providing data-backed financial insights to support strategic initiatives.
  • Establish training materials and a company-wide accounting handbook to ensure global consistency.
  • Support global tax compliance and partner with local finance teams across multiple jurisdictions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CFA, or MBA strongly preferred).
  • 15+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a multinational or manufacturing environment.
  • Deep expertise in both Controlling and Accounting functions, including hands-on consolidation and forecasting.
  • Solid command of both US GAAP and IFRS.
  • Proven experience with ERP systems (Epicor or similar platforms highly preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of global tax and compliance landscapes, particularly across US, Mexico, Europe, and Asia.
  • Demonstrated success operating in cross-cultural, multi-country financial environments.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with a collaborative and proactive approach.

What’s in It for You:

  • Build From Scratch – Unique opportunity to architect and lead a global finance function from day one.
  • Executive Visibility – Direct access to C-suite leaders with influence over group-level decisions.
  • Global Impact – Collaborate with teams in North America, Europe, and Asia.
  • Growth Trajectory – Clear runway to expand your team and scale leadership scope over time.
  • Quality of Life – Live and work in a community with no state income tax, access to lakes and the outdoors, and a strong local economy.
  • Comprehensive Benefits – Including health, dental, vision, life insurance, short/long-term disability, and 401(k). Relocation support available.
