Strategic Finance Manager
Location: On-site in Oklahoma City, OK

About the Role
The Strategic Finance Manager will act as a bridge between finance, operations, and executive leadership. This individual will be responsible for overseeing financial planning and analysis (FP&A), cost accounting, and reporting activities with a strong emphasis on government compliance. This role requires someone who can think both tactically and strategically, providing actionable insights to improve profitability and resource allocation across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial planning and analysis processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking, with a focus on project-based environments.
- Develop and maintain KPI dashboards and visual reporting tools to guide executive decision-making.
- Oversee financial management systems, including Deltek Costpoint, to maintain adherence to federal contracting regulations and standards.
- Conduct monthly financial close activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Serve as a financial advisor to operational leaders by translating complex data into actionable recommendations.
- Build collaborative relationships across departments to promote accountability, operational efficiency, and financial literacy.
- Partner with leadership to integrate financial insights into long-term business strategy and planning.
- Support project-level reporting and labor utilization analysis to optimize resource deployment.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 10+ years in a cost accounting or FP&A leadership role, ideally within a project-driven or government contracting environment.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Deltek Costpoint.
- Strong analytical skills and fluency in Excel and data visualization tools.
- In-depth knowledge of federal acquisition regulations and defense contract requirements, including cost accounting principles and standards.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
Preferred:
- 5+ years overseeing the month-end close process.
- 3+ years of direct experience with financial forecasting and strategic business planning.
