QA/QC Manager
Location: Remote – open to qualified applicants anywhere in the United States
Our client is a nationwide EPC contractor known for delivering complex electrical projects in mission-critical and heavy-industrial environments. As they expand their portfolio of multi-site programs, they need a seasoned quality leader who can embed best-in-class QA/QC practices from design through final turnover. Key Responsibilities
- Provide constructability and quality input during 30 percent, 60 percent, and IFC design reviews to prevent rework and protect the build schedule.
- Verify that crews and subcontractors install all LV and MV equipment to project specs, code, and industry best practice.
- Develop and maintain inspection and test plans, checklists, punch lists, and turnover packages, ensuring non-conformances are closed promptly.
- Partner with superintendents, forepersons, and owner reps to align manpower, material releases, and inspections with the master schedule.
- Oversee acceptance tests for switchgear, UPS, generators, and power distribution in data centers and other mission-critical facilities.
- Deliver progress reports and technical insights in owner and subcontractor meetings, protecting both cost and quality objectives.
- Conduct final walk-throughs, compile turnover documentation, and secure client sign-off with a “first-time-right” mindset.
- Answer technical questions in real time and mentor field teams to elevate overall quality performance.
Qualifications
- 3+ years directing quality control for large-scale electrical construction or industrial projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent field leadership experience (superintendent / foreman).
- Strong working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) and other applicable electrical codes.
- Demonstrated expertise with low- and medium-voltage power distribution equipment testing and commissioning.
- Proficiency with digital plan-review and coordination tools such as Bluebeam and Revit.
- Experience supporting data centers, semiconductor fabs, renewable plants, or similar high-reliability facilities is highly valued.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a remote setting.
