Chief Commercial Officer

Location: Remote – United States (occasional travel to flagship campus & investor meetings)


Our client is a stealth-mode, capital-backed platform designing the next generation of AI-ready digital-infrastructure campuses. Their inaugural site has utility power secured and phased for delivery beginning in 2027, with a clear roadmap to one-gigawatt scale and thousands of adjacent acres reserved for replication. As the first commercial executive on the leadership team, you will architect an end-to-end revenue engine—structuring tranche releases, securing hyperscale customer commitments, and packaging long-term power advantages into bankable agreements. Key Responsibilities

  • Define the commercialization blueprint that aligns phased power delivery to hyperscale demand curves, ensuring each tranche is fully subscribed ahead of COD.
  • Own executive relationships with cloud, AI, and content platforms; negotiate capacity deals measured in hundreds of megawatts.
  • Translate utility-scale and behind-the-meter power strategies into differentiated commercial offerings, balancing term length, indexation, and optionality.
  • Partner with finance and sponsors to present a bankable lease template that supports institutional project financing and repeatable campus rollouts.
  • Build and lead a high-caliber sales, solutions, and customer-success organization; implement CRM, pipeline metrics, and forecasting discipline.
  • Source and formalize alliances with integrators, OEMs, renewable-energy providers, and regional utilities to accelerate speed-to-market.
  • Track power-grid, land, and permitting dynamics across North America to guide site selection for future campuses.
  • Craft board-ready material that positions the platform’s power control and scale as durable competitive moats.
  • Hire, mentor, and retain commercial talent who match the founder’s builder mindset and bias for execution.
  • Ensure contracts, policies, and disclosures meet regulatory and stakeholder requirements across multiple jurisdictions.


Ideal Profile

  • 15+ years leading enterprise or hyperscale data-center, cloud-services, or energy-infrastructure commercialization with P&L accountability.
  • Track record closing eight- and nine-figure capacity agreements tied to large-scale power ramps.
  • Fluency in wholesale power markets, Lease/PPA structures, and the economics of campus-scale development.
  • Credibility with C-suite buyers and institutional investors; able to translate technical infrastructure into investment-grade narratives.
  • Experience building and scaling revenue organizations from the ground up in high-growth, capital-intensive environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or related advanced degree preferred.
