What This Role Offers

  • A high impact seat supporting large scale, technically advanced development and construction programs.
  • Close partnership with leaders across development, construction, finance, legal, and project delivery.
  • Meaningful influence over commercial standards, contract strategy, and project financial performance.
  • A remote opportunity with nationwide scope and strong executive visibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide commercial leadership for major construction and infrastructure projects from early budgeting through final closeout.
  • Partner with project, finance, legal, and technical stakeholders to structure contracts, evaluate commercial terms, and support sound business decisions.
  • Guide buyout strategy, change management, payment review, and final account reconciliation to protect project outcomes.
  • Build, maintain, and refine project budgets, forecasts, funding requests, and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify cost exposure, contractual risk, and value improvement opportunities, then recommend practical mitigation strategies.
  • Support negotiations with general contractors, consultants, and external partners while helping ensure alignment with internal standards and project requirements.
  • Deliver clear reporting, analysis, and decision support materials for senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Monitor market activity, pricing trends, and broader industry conditions to strengthen commercial planning.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success working across cross functional teams and managing multiple priorities in a deadline driven setting.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Comfort with Microsoft Office and project or financial management tools. Experience with Primavera or Microsoft Project is helpful.
  • Familiarity with sustainable building practices is a plus.
