Human Resources Generalist

Location: On site in Fairfield, CA or Larkspur, CA

A well-established, growth focused organization is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to help strengthen the employee experience across a large, multi-location workforce. This is a highly visible role for someone who enjoys being close to the business, partnering directly with leaders, and bringing both people insight and operational discipline to a fast-moving environment. The right person will have a strong presence, practical judgment, and the ability to build trust while helping the organization scale, improve engagement, and maintain a high standard of accountability.

What You Will Do

  • Act as the onsite HR resource for leaders and employees at high visibility business locations.
  • Guide employee relations conversations, workplace concerns, and performance matters with sound judgment and follow through.
  • Partner with local leaders on coaching, accountability, and practical people strategies that improve retention and culture.
  • Administer HR programs tied to onboarding, leave coordination, policy interpretation, compliance, and employee records.
  • Support hiring activity and workforce planning in partnership with managers across multiple departments.
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of California employment practices and help ensure consistent policy application.
  • Contribute to HR projects that strengthen communication, employee experience, and organizational readiness for growth.
  • Stay visible and accessible to the business, building trust through responsiveness, discretion, and steady follow up.

What We Are Looking For

  • 5 plus years of human resources experience in a multi-site or field-based environment.
  • Experience supporting a large employee population in a fast-moving operating environment is strongly preferred.
  • Confident communicator who can build credibility with frontline teams and leadership alike.
  • Knowledge of California employment law, investigations, leave practices, and day-to-day HR operations.
  • Organized, service minded, and comfortable balancing employee advocacy with business priorities.
  • Bachelor's degree and HR certification are valued, but equivalent experience will also be considered.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

This position offers the chance to make a real impact in a people first organization where HR is expected to be both strategic and hands-on. You will work closely with decision makers, influence culture at the local level, and help shape an employee experience that supports growth, performance, and long-term retention.
