EHS Specialist

A growing and innovative manufacturer is seeking a proactive and collaborative EHS Specialist to support continuous improvement across their dynamic production environment. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a hands-on champion for site-wide EHS compliance, leading initiatives that align with local, state, federal, and global regulatory standards.
- Partner with senior leadership to proactively identify risks and implement sustainable safety solutions across all production areas.
- Maintain, refine, and enforce site-specific EHS policies, risk assessments, and safe operating procedures.
- Facilitate incident investigations and lead root cause analysis to implement corrective and preventative actions.
- Own safety metrics tracking and present performance trends to operations and executive teams.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness efforts, including drills, team training, and procedural updates.
- Deliver engaging safety and environmental training to both new hires and existing staff.
- Support environmental compliance through monitoring, auditing, and reporting protocols.
- Promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement through employee engagement, feedback collection, and safety committees.
- Lead internal EHS audits and support third-party assessments.
- Actively contribute to global safety initiatives and cross-functional EHS improvement projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in an environmental, health, and safety role within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, EPA regulations, and best practices in workplace safety.
- Demonstrated experience conducting training, audits, and safety assessments.
- Ability to analyze data and trends to make strategic recommendations.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Able to seamlessly work with various teams and tackle solo projects with ease.
