Fit Out Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Own the full project lifecycle for interior fit-outs—from pre-construction design reviews through commissioning and hand-off to operations.
• Coordinate general contractors, specialty trades, and third-party engineers to keep cost, schedule, and quality targets on track.
• Review drawings, specifications, and budgets, flagging risks early and driving value-engineering where appropriate.
• Track progress across several sites, produce weekly executive dashboards, and lead on-site walks to validate safety and quality standards.
• Champion mission-critical requirements (MEP redundancy, high-density cooling, structured cabling) to ensure facilities are ready for high-load compute environments.
• Guide readiness for integrated systems testing and final commissioning, ensuring a seamless turnover to facilities and reliability engineering teams.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and standardizing best practices across the project portfolio.

Skill & Experience Profile

• 8–12 years of construction project-management success on data-center, life-science, or other mission-critical interior build-outs.
• Proven record delivering multiple projects in parallel, each exceeding $10 M in fit-out scope.
• Deep knowledge of scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor administration, and change-order negotiation.
• Comfort working in hybrid environments—splitting time between office collaboration, job-site oversight, and occasional travel to peer facilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, or similar discipline (or equivalent field experience).
• Familiarity with commissioning processes, quality-assurance plans, and OSHA/ NFPA 70E safety protocols is highly desirable.
