Location: Hybrid in Cleveland, OH; Toledo, OH; Cincinnati, OH; Columbus, OH

Our client is a growing financial services organization expanding its commitment to helping firefighters and their families build stronger financial futures. This is a unique opportunity for a relationship-driven Financial Advisor to serve a dedicated professional community, provide meaningful retirement education, and develop a long-term advisory practice without relying on traditional cold prospecting. With an established community to support, a stable base salary, and the freedom to manage your own territory, this position offers the chance to make a lasting impact while building a rewarding career.

This Role Offers:

  • Performance-based bonus opportunities, with additional commission potential.
  • Access to an established professional community, reducing dependence on traditional cold calling and self-generated prospecting.
  • The opportunity to build a long-term advisory practice with potential for recurring revenue and increased earnings as relationships and business develop.
  • A hybrid, territory-based schedule with significant independence and flexibility to organize client meetings and outreach.
  • Structured onboarding, experienced advisor mentorship, and ongoing organizational support.

Focus:

  • Develop trusted relationships with firefighters and their families, providing consistent financial guidance and personalized attention.
  • Educate members on retirement savings, deferred compensation programs, investment fundamentals, and financial planning considerations.
  • Serve existing retirement plan participants by answering questions, explaining available options, and supporting their ongoing financial needs.
  • Build a strong local presence through firehouse visits, educational presentations, community meetings, and individual consultations.
  • Restore confidence among individuals who may have experienced inconsistent financial guidance by demonstrating integrity, patience, and dependable follow-through.
  • Identify appropriate opportunities to expand retirement plan participation and provide additional advisory services based on individual needs and financial goals.
  • Independently manage an assigned Ohio territory, coordinating travel, appointments, relationship development, and ongoing client engagement.

Skill Set:

  • Experience in financial advising, retirement plan services, investment education, banking, or employee benefits is preferred.
  • A service-first mindset grounded in integrity, loyalty, sound judgment, and a genuine commitment to building lasting client relationships.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and financial education skills, with the ability to make complex retirement and benefits concepts understandable.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish credibility, earn the confidence of skeptical individuals, and prioritize long-term relationships over immediate transactions.
  • Entrepreneurial initiative, strong organizational skills, and the ability to independently manage a geographic territory and maintain consistent follow-through.
  • Genuine respect for firefighters, first responders, and their families, along with the flexibility to travel locally and accommodate occasional nontraditional meeting hours.
  • Series 65, Series 6, and Ohio Life & Health licenses preferred, with willingness and ability to obtain required credentials.
