Operations Manager – Electrical Construction

Our client is seeking an experienced operations leader to help drive the next phase of growth across major electrical construction work in the Phoenix market. This is a high impact leadership role for someone who understands the business from the ground up, has earned credibility in the field, and knows how to turn strong project execution into lasting operational performance. The right person will bring deep trade knowledge, a sharp financial mindset, and the leadership presence to guide project teams, strengthen accountability, and support continued regional expansion.

Focus

• Lead day-to-day execution across a portfolio of large scale electrical construction projects
• Provide leadership and direction to multiple Project Managers and broad field organizations
• Drive operational consistency across budgeting, forecasting, labor planning, scheduling, and project performance reviews
• Partner with senior leadership to improve execution, strengthen team performance, and support regional growth goals
• Coach project leadership teams on accountability, client communication, and successful delivery practices
• Monitor financial performance across active work and help guide decisions that protect margin and improve outcomes
• Align manpower strategy with project needs to support safe, efficient, and timely execution
• Help build a culture of ownership, responsiveness, and operational excellence across the business

Skill Set

• Background as a Senior Project Manager or similar leader with progression into operations leadership
• Career foundation in the electrical trade, ideally starting as an electrician
• Experience working for an electrical contractor is required
• Strong knowledge of electrical construction operations and field execution
• Proven ability to lead multiple Project Managers and large teams in the field
• Strong financial oversight experience on major construction projects
• Confident decision maker with the ability to balance client needs, team leadership, and business performance
• Effective communicator who can lead across field, project, and executive level groups

Preferred Profile

• Experience overseeing large and complex commercial or industrial electrical construction work
• Track record of improving team performance, operational discipline, and project profitability
• Ability to lead through growth, complexity, and changing business demands
