Senior Account Director - Aerospace

Location: Remote, United States

Join a growth-stage precision manufacturer that is scaling from prototype work to repeatable production programs across commercial and defense aerospace. Backed by recent investment and modern equipment, this organization is poised to capture long-cycle awards with top OEMs, primes, and Tier 1 suppliers. As Senior Account Director, you will own new logo acquisition, convert pilot projects into multiyear production, and help shape a national go-to-market strategy with executive visibility and real influence.

What you will do

  • Own net new logo acquisition across commercial and defense aerospace accounts, from first contact to award.
  • Build executive level relationships at OEMs, primes, and Tier 1 suppliers to unlock multiyear production awards.
  • Translate complex machining and value-added manufacturing capabilities into business outcomes around delivery, cost, and quality.
  • Create territory plans, account maps, and pursuit strategies that turn early builds into recurring programs.
  • Lead pricing, proposals, and contract negotiations in partnership with operations and finance, ensuring healthy margins and on-time delivery commitments.
  • Manage a rigorous pipeline, maintain clean CRM data, and report on leading indicators for accurate forecasting.
  • Partner with engineering on DFM input and with operations to ensure smooth NPI to production transitions.
  • Represent the company at customer sites and industry events, with national travel as needed.
  • Contribute to a scalable sales playbook and mentor teammates as the commercial organization grows.
  • Uphold compliance with applicable customer and regulatory requirements, including ITAR where relevant.

What you bring

  • Track record winning production machining or build-to-print manufacturing work in aerospace or defense.
  • Credibility with procurement and program stakeholders, plus existing relationships across target accounts.
  • Strong knowledge of production programs and recurring award cycles, not only development or prototype sales.
  • Experience navigating smaller, fast-moving industrial environments with hands-on collaboration across the shop floor.
  • Proficiency with strategic account planning, complex negotiations, and accurate forecasting.
  • Willingness to travel nationally, often several days per week, based on customer needs.

Why this role

  • High-impact scope, executive access, and a mandate to build something lasting.
  • Modern equipment and meaningful available capacity to fulfill new awards.
  • Competitive compensation with base plus commission, and flexible structures for top performers.
  • Benefits package, supportive leadership, and a culture that rewards ownership and outcomes.
