Computer Architecture Consultant – Part Time Remote

Location: Remote, Nationwide

Focus:

  • Design and develop complex system-level challenges related to computing architecture
  • Evaluate and guide AI-generated outputs focused on processor and system design
  • Assess architectural efficiency, accuracy, and optimization strategies
  • Create and refine simulations, models, and benchmarks for validation purposes
  • Collaborate on defining technical direction and evolving research priorities
  • Provide subject matter expertise across hardware and system architecture domains

 

Skill Set:

  • Masters or PhD in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field 
  • Deep knowledge in computer architecture, performance engineering, or similar domain
  • Strong understanding of processor design, including pipelines and execution models
  • Expertise in memory systems, including caching strategies and coherence mechanisms
  • Familiarity with instruction set architectures such as RISC-based or widely adopted CPU frameworks
  • Experience with interconnect technologies and system communication protocols
  • Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages for modeling and analysis
  • Understanding of simulation or emulation tools used in system design

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in system-on-chip design or hardware-software integration
  • Experience developing performance models or benchmarking frameworks
  • Familiarity with modern hardware simulation environments
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, research-driven setting
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex concepts clearly
