Senior Electrical Engineer

Location: Remote – Nationwide

What You’ll Do

• Lead electrical system design for commercial facilities, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, and low-voltage controls.
• Perform complex load calculations, short-circuit studies, and arc-flash analysis to optimize system performance, efficiency, and safety.
• Collaborate with mechanical, structural, and BIM teams to deliver coordinated construction documents on time and within budget.
• Serve as electrical technical lead on multi-disciplinary projects, mentoring junior engineers and reviewing submittals and shop drawings.
• Interface directly with clients to develop Owner Project Requirements, define project scope, and present technical recommendations.
• Support construction-phase services by responding to RFIs, performing site observations, and participating in commissioning activities.
• Champion continuous improvement by leveraging emerging digital design tools, automation workflows, and sustainable design best practices.

Skill Set & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited program (master’s a plus).
• 8+ years of building electrical design experience; Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 12 months strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Revit, SKM or ETAP, and lighting calculation software.
• In-depth knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE standards, and applicable energy codes.
• Experience coordinating remote project teams and communicating effectively across time zones.
• Strong client-facing skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value.
