Analog / Mixed Circuit Design Consultant – Part Time Remote

Location: Remote, Nationwide


A cutting-edge technology innovator at the intersection of artificial intelligence and advanced hardware design is seeking a highly skilled Analog and Mixed-Signal Circuit Design Consultant to support next-generation AI development. In this unique role, you will directly influence how intelligent systems learn to solve real-world engineering challenges, shaping the future of automated design and simulation. What You Will Do

  • Create sophisticated analog and mixed-signal design challenges that reflect real-world engineering scenarios
  • Develop detailed reference solutions including schematics, analytical calculations, and simulation models
  • Assess and validate AI-generated circuit designs for accuracy, robustness, and practical feasibility
  • Identify nuanced performance issues such as noise sensitivity, instability, and improper biasing
  • Build and refine automated validation workflows using industry-standard simulation tools
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define evaluation frameworks and technical benchmarks
  • Contribute to early-stage research initiatives focused on improving AI performance in hardware design applications


Core Technical Focus Areas

  • Transistor-level circuit design and device optimization
  • Precision analog components including amplifiers, references, and regulators
  • Data conversion systems such as ADCs and DACs
  • Frequency synthesis and timing circuits including PLLs
  • Performance tuning across gain, bandwidth, noise, and stability metrics


Required Qualifications

  • Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline
  • Strong proficiency with SPICE-based simulation tools
  • Programming experience in Python for automation, modeling, or analysis
  • Familiarity with circuit design and simulation platforms such as ngspice, PySpice, KiCad, or similar
  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to identify subtle design flaws

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with silicon validation or full design lifecycle including tape-out
  • Background in academic or industry-based analog IC design
  • Contributions to open-source hardware or circuit design projects
