Customer Operations Specialist

What You Will Do

  • Serve as a day-to-day contact for customers across assigned accounts, guiding orders from entry through delivery.
  • Manage order updates, shipment timing, expedite requests, returns, and service follow up inside ERP driven workflows.
  • Partner with sales, scheduling, operations, marketing, and plant teams to keep customers informed and issues moving toward closure.
  • Investigate service concerns, document next steps, and escalate exceptions when turnaround, quality, or delivery expectations are at risk.
  • Maintain accurate records, open order visibility, and service-related reporting that supports response time and order accuracy goals.
  • Build trust with customers through clear communication, ownership, and reliable follow through in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Contribute ideas that improve handoffs, reduce repeat issues, and strengthen the overall customer experience.
  • Support broader team priorities as needed, including occasional travel for customer or business needs.


What We Are Looking For

  • At least 3 years of customer service, customer operations, or order management experience.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing, industrial, packaging, distribution, or similarly operations focused environment is strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of order to cash processes, including order entry, shipment coordination, and customer issue resolution.
  • Experience using ERP platforms such as NetSuite, Plex, SAP, Oracle, or similar systems.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively across multiple internal teams.
  • High level of accountability, organization, and consistency in a role that requires follow through and attention to detail.
  • Bachelor degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
