Key Responsibilities
- Guide a team of structural and civil engineers toward utilization, quality, and profitability targets while fostering an engaging, growth-minded culture.
- Direct project delivery from pursuit through close-out, safeguarding budgets, schedules, and risk exposure.
- Serve as Engineer of Record on marquee projects, providing technical oversight, peer review, and risk mitigation.
- Foster team growth by establishing objectives, providing constructive feedback, and strategically assigning tasks to maximize productivity.
- Partner with business-development leaders on pursuit strategy and key-client engagement to expand regional market share.
- Act as culture ambassador for the Phoenix office, aligning day-to-day operations with firm values and long-range strategic plans.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or Structural Engineering (master’s preferred).
- Active PE or SE license.
- Seasoned structural engineering professional with leadership experience.
- Demonstrated success managing complex projects, mentoring staff, and cultivating client relationships.
- Exceptional communication, organization, and technical-design skills.
Preferred Extras
- Experience with advanced analysis software and performance-based design.
- Prior P&L or office leadership ownership.
- Active involvement in professional associations (SEAoA, ASCE, etc.).
Work Environment & Culture
This is an on-site leadership role based in a modern Phoenix office. Occasional hybrid flexibility is available once objectives are met, allowing heads-down focus work while preserving the in-person collaboration that fuels mentorship and innovation.
