Lead DAS Technician

Our client is expanding its field delivery capabilities and is seeking an experienced Lead DAS Technician to take a hands-on role in deploying critical in-building wireless infrastructure across the United States. This is an opportunity for a field professional who enjoys solving technical challenges, leading crews, and seeing complex installations through from build to testing and closeout. The position offers nationwide project exposure, significant ownership in the field, and the chance to work across DAS, WiFi, Small Cell, fiber, coax, and related wireless technologies.

Focus:

• Guide field crews through installation and closeout activities for indoor wireless projects at construction sites nationwide.
• Build and connect distributed antenna system infrastructure, including antennas, fiber, coax, structured cabling, amplification equipment, and associated hardware.
• Complete Sweep, PIM, and OTDR testing, diagnose performance issues, and document results for project turnover.
• Translate design packages, floor plans, and construction drawings into accurate field installation work.
• Coordinate day-to-day site activity with general contractors, customers, technicians, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
• Inspect workmanship, reinforce installation standards, and coach technicians on safe and efficient field practices.
• Track installation progress, site conditions, test data, and other field documentation needed to keep projects moving.
• Travel weekly across the United States and support occasional night or weekend work based on project schedules.

Skill Set:

• Bring 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience installing in-building wireless systems such as DAS, WiFi, and Small Cell.
• Demonstrate strong fiber and coax installation, testing, troubleshooting, and cable preparation capabilities.
• Read and interpret wireless design plans, construction drawings, equipment layouts, and installation requirements.
• Use RF and fiber test equipment confidently, including tools used for Sweep, PIM, and OTDR testing.
• Apply practical knowledge of RF fundamentals and basic electrical concepts, including grounding and power measurements.
• Lead crews effectively while communicating clearly with customers, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Work safely in active construction settings, including ladders, lifts, elevated areas, and physically demanding field conditions.
• Maintain a valid driver's license and be able to meet required safety training and role-related credential expectations.
