Business Development Manager (Aviation Components)

Location: Remote / Nationwide

Our client, a well-established aerospace component MRO and manufacturing leader, is scaling rapidly and needs a high-energy Business Development Manager to accelerate growth across the corporate and regional jet sector. In this fully remote role, you will shape go-to-market strategy, champion innovative landing-gear and hydraulic solutions, and make an immediate impact on revenue while enjoying the flexibility to work from anywhere in the United States.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the growth plan. Design and execute short- and long-term sales strategies that consistently surpass revenue targets for aviation component repair, overhaul, and PMA parts.
  • Drive new-logo acquisition. Source, qualify, and convert prospects through a mix of outbound calls, virtual demos, and strategic in-person visits.
  • Act as product champion. Serve as the technical liaison for landing-gear, hydraulic, and electromechanical product lines, translating customer needs into tailored solutions.
  • Expand market intelligence. Research emerging trends, competitive offerings, and adjacent markets to identify new product and service opportunities.
  • Leverage CRM discipline. Maintain an up-to-date pipeline, forecast accurately, and analyze data to refine outreach tactics.
  • Represent the brand. Attend virtual and live industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to elevate market visibility and strengthen relationships.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally. Partner with marketing, engineering, and operations teams to ensure seamless customer onboarding and success.

 

Required Background

  • 5+ years of quota-carrying sales or business-development experience within aviation MRO, component manufacturing, or related aerospace sectors.
  • Demonstrated success penetrating corporate or regional aviation markets and closing high-value deals.
  • Technical aptitude in aircraft component maintenance, repair, or overhaul; landing-gear expertise is advantageous.
  • Proficiency with modern CRM platforms and data-driven selling practices.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a remote environment, with domestic and occasional international travel (≈30%).
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Aviation Management, or equivalent practical experience preferred.
