Mechanical Engineer

Location: Onsite in Georgia

Our client is re-shaping how hyperscale and enterprise data centers stay cool, efficient, and resilient. They design next-generation liquid- and air-cooled infrastructure that dramatically lowers power and water use while supporting AI-grade compute densities. As a Mechanical Engineer on this high-visibility team, you will own the end-to-end design of critical cooling systems—from concept through commissioning—helping customers accelerate sustainable digital growth.

Key Impact Areas

  • System Architecture & Design – Create detailed schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and equipment schedules for chillers, cooling towers, CRAH/CRAC units, CDUs, and rack-level liquid-cooling loops that support 100 kW+ cabinets.
  • Thermal Analysis & Optimization – Run load calculations and CFD / Pipe-Flo models to maximize PUE/WUE and to validate redundancy schemes (N, N+1, 2N).
  • Project Execution – Drive vendor selection, procurement reviews, and oversee factory- and site-acceptance testing to ensure first-time-right deployments.
  • Commissioning & Troubleshooting – Lead start-up, performance tuning, and root-cause analysis for any thermal events, rapidly implementing corrective actions.
  • Standards & Compliance – Align designs with ASHRAE classes, local building codes, and Uptime Institute best practices while preparing O&M manuals and risk assessments.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Interface daily with electrical, controls, and IT architects to deliver fully integrated solutions and mentor junior engineers on best practices.

Preferred Profile

  • Bachelor’s or master’s in mechanical engineering (or related).
  • 7+ years designing mechanical systems for mission-critical facilities or high-density labs.
  • Hands-on expertise with HVAC, chilled-water, glycol, and direct-immersion or cold-plate liquid-cooling technologies.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD MEP, CFD, and hydraulic modeling tools.
  • Familiarity with Tier certification criteria and international mechanical standards.
  • Proven communicator who thrives in fast-paced, client-facing projects.

Why Join?

  • Be the subject-matter expert steering breakthrough cooling solutions for AI and HPC workloads.
  • Collaborative culture that prizes innovation, professional development, and real ownership of outcomes.
  • Relocation assistance available for qualified candidates.
