Customer Sales Support Specialist
Our client is a rapidly expanding manufacturer and distributor of custom commercial products used in high-visibility construction and renovation projects nationwide. Built on a foundation of white-glove service, they partner with architects, general contractors, and corporate end users to deliver solutions that exceed expectations. To keep pace with demand, they are adding a Customer Sales Support Specialist who will own the post-sale experience from order entry through on-time delivery.

Focus:
- Serve as the primary contact for assigned accounts, answering product questions and providing proactive order-status updates.
- Accurately enter sales orders in the ERP system, verifying part numbers, pricing, and shipping details before sending confirmations.
- Coordinate daily with planning, production, and logistics to schedule builds, expedite priority requests, and meet committed ship dates.
- Monitor open orders, issue weekly status reports, and surface potential delays early to all stakeholders.
- Facilitate returns and replacements by initiating RMA documentation, tracking items through evaluation, and communicating resolutions.
- Maintain detailed account records and continuously update CRM data to reflect current contacts, project notes, and buying patterns.
- Partner with outside sales, estimating, and engineering to identify upsell opportunities and ensure seamless handoffs on new projects.
- Support continuous-improvement efforts by documenting recurring issues and suggesting process enhancements.
Skill Set:
- 2+ years in a customer-facing support, inside-sales, order-management, or logistics-coordination role; experience with building-products or construction clients is helpful but not required.
- 2+ years of prior experience in the lighting industry, including familiarity with commercial lighting products, specifications, or lighting project workflows.
- Proven success managing multiple orders, schedules, or estimates while maintaining high client-satisfaction scores.
- Proficiency with ERP/order-entry systems (SAP, NetSuite, Sage, or comparable) and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a knack for translating technical details into clear client updates.
- High attention to detail, strong problem-solving ability, and comfort working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- High-school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or a related field preferred.
