We’re launching a new national operations division at an industry-forward engineering firm - one that’s redefining how high-performance cooling systems are deployed at scale. As the Director of Liquid Cooling Operations, you’ll steer fluid-based cooling initiatives for mission-critical facilities, leading systems deployment from planning through commissioning. Your expertise will help shape the standards and strategy behind next-gen infrastructure performance. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of liquid cooling programs from strategy to execution, ensuring alignment with goals and consistent excellence.
- Act as the trusted liaison with clients - setting expectations, managing deliverables, and ensuring quality at every milestone.
- Develop and standardize internal procedures, dashboards, and SOPs to support execution across regions.
- Coordinate seamlessly with engineering, QA, commissioning, and vendor teams for integrated system delivery.
- Identify performance risks, confirm system readiness, and guide swift resolution of issues.
- Manage project metrics and margin targets - including financial tracking and reporting.
- Coach site engineers and operations staff, nurturing the next generation of technical leaders.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in liquid cooling, especially within high-density applications such as data centers, semiconductor facilities, or similar environments.
- Strong background in managing complex programs from conception through on-site delivery.
- Familiarity with PCW, UPW, glycol loops, and standard PLC/SCADA systems.
- Hands-on commissioning and troubleshooting with a data-driven mindset.
- Comfortable with Excel, PowerPoint, and virtual collaboration tools; familiarity with control protocols (BACnet, Modbus, etc.) is a plus.
- Certifications (Preferred): CxA, BCxP, NEBB, PMP, OSHA 10/30, NFPA 70E
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience
- Around 13+ years of experience in technical operations including ~8+ years in leadership roles
- Comfortable with 50% travel to meet clients, sites, and internal teams
