Product Owner, In-house AI Products

Location: Remote, Nationwide

Our client is building a new generation of AI-enabled products designed to change how work gets done across the organization. This is a hands-on builder role for someone who sees an inefficient process, asks how software and AI could solve it, and has the technical ability to turn that idea into a production-ready product. You will have significant autonomy to uncover high-value opportunities, develop practical solutions, ship them, and continuously improve what you build. Focus

• Create and launch internal AI products that streamline work, reduce manual effort, and improve how teams operate.
• Investigate business challenges, determine where technology can make a measurable difference, and turn those opportunities into actionable product plans.
• Take responsibility for the complete solution lifecycle, including problem discovery, technical planning, development, release, evaluation, and ongoing refinement.
• Engineer software-driven workflows and integrations that bring AI capabilities into everyday business processes.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to understand pain points, clarify requirements, and deliver systems people can use effectively.
• Use sound software engineering practices across backend, full-stack, or platform-oriented development work.
• Build dependable applications using technologies such as APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, and AI integrations.
• Work with substantial independence, balancing competing opportunities and moving promising concepts into production efficiently.
• Refine deployed products using feedback, observed outcomes, and evolving organizational priorities.

Skill Set

• Professional experience in backend, full-stack, platform, or similarly technical software development.
• Strong programming fundamentals and the ability to personally build working software, rather than solely defining product requirements.
• Demonstrated success developing and releasing production software, AI-enabled applications, automation solutions, or comparable technical systems.
• Proven ability to own initiatives end to end, from identifying the underlying problem through implementation, deployment, and improvement.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly when requirements are incomplete or the path forward is not predefined.
• Ability to translate operational needs into pragmatic technical and product solutions.
• Effective communication skills with both engineering audiences and non-technical business stakeholders.
• Comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced environment where initiative, judgment, and accountability are expected.
• Familiarity with API development, data systems, cloud platforms, or AI-enabled solutions is a strong plus.
• A builder mindset with an interest in using emerging technology to solve real business problems and deliver tangible results.
