Account Lead: Data Center Power Generation

Location: Remote, Nationwide


A confidential organization at the intersection of critical infrastructure, energy strategy, and data center expansion is seeking an experienced Account Lead to help grow its presence in power generation solutions supporting mission critical environments. This is an opportunity to shape high value client relationships in a fast-moving market where reliability, speed to power, and long-term infrastructure planning are top priorities. The person in this role will help connect customer needs with technical delivery capabilities, influence major pursuits, and play a visible role in national growth efforts.


What You Will Do

  • Build and expand relationships with data center owners, developers, operators, engineering partners, and related stakeholders to identify new business opportunities tied to power generation and resilient infrastructure.
  • Support strategic account growth by developing opportunity plans, pursuing new client conversations, and strengthening existing partnerships across a national territory.
  • Guide pursuits from early stage business development through proposal strategy, solution positioning, and commercial close.
  • Work closely with internal technical, project, and leadership teams to align client objectives with practical engineering and delivery solutions.
  • Monitor industry activity, customer expansion plans, and broader market demand to uncover upcoming projects and long-range opportunities.
  • Represent the organization in client meetings, presentations, conferences, and industry events to strengthen market visibility and credibility.
  • Maintain a disciplined pipeline process, provide regular forecasting updates, and document activity through internal sales tools and reporting systems.
  • Help shape account strategy for complex pursuits that may involve multiple stakeholders, extended sales cycles, and tailored solution development.


What You Bring

  • At least 7 years of experience in business development, strategic account management, or technical sales within power, energy, critical infrastructure, industrial services, or related markets.
  • Strong ability to build trust with executive, commercial, and technical decision makers.
  • Experience managing complex sales efforts with long cycle opportunities and high value pursuits.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
  • Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and a customer focused approach to relationship management.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, marketing, or a related discipline is preferred. Comparable professional experience will also be considered.


Additional Strengths

  • Experience connected to backup power, distributed generation, microgrids, utility coordination, or mission critical facilities is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with data center infrastructure trends, capital project environments, or engineering led service sales is a plus.
  • Comfort working independently in a remote setting while traveling nationally for client engagement and market development.
  • Experience using CRM platforms, Microsoft Office, and standard business development reporting tools.
