Assistant Project Manager

This Role Offers

  • Hands on experience supporting active construction projects from startup through final turnover.
  • Direct exposure to experienced project managers, superintendents, design professionals, trade partners, and clients.

  • Proven expertise managing project timelines, budgets, vendor sourcing, compliance, workplace safety, technical alignment, and records administration.

Focus

  • Support field leadership by coordinating trade partners, tracking site activity, and helping maintain strong safety and quality standards.
  • Maintain organized project records, including submittals, RFIs, drawing revisions, meeting notes, and field markups.
  • Support project planning and coordination efforts to help maintain progress and meet key deadlines.
  • Support financial tracking and reporting efforts to help maintain project performance and budget alignment.
  • Support project sourcing efforts by assembling bid materials, reviewing submissions, and managing vendor and subcontractor agreements within designated work areas.
  • Support estimating activities by developing cost information and maintaining accurate reporting throughout construction.
  • Identify potential scope changes and help document their schedule, contractual, and financial impact.
  • Review project information, identify potential concerns, and support coordination and issue resolution throughout the project.
  • Communicate with project stakeholders as assigned, supporting reporting, payment documentation, change requests, and issue resolution.
  • Assist with key project activities from initial setup through final completion and handoff.
  • Leverage industry tools and technology to support project coordination, communication, and overall efficiency.
  • Spend significant time supporting active project sites and travel as project assignments require.


Skill Set

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Foundational knowledge of construction methods, field operations, safety practices, equipment, and project delivery processes.
  • Strong ability to navigate and interpret key project plans, requirements, and supporting information.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and project details.
  • Eagerness to build knowledge across key areas of project planning, coordination, and execution.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative approach to working with field and office teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess challenges and contribute to practical, timely solutions
  • Comfortable learning construction management software, scheduling platforms, digital field documentation tools, and related technology.
  • Willingness to learn quickly, accept feedback, and continuously develop construction and leadership capabilities.
