Technical Life Sciences Enterprise Sales (Consulting to Start)
Location: Remote, Nationwide
A cutting-edge AI and scientific innovation firm is on a mission to redefine the future of drug development. With an ambitious vision to transform human healthspan and performance through advanced computational modeling and integrated scientific workflows, they are building the next-generation platform that empowers life sciences companies to radically accelerate discovery and reduce time to market. As they scale, they're seeking a consultative business development leader to join them in building out their enterprise client base—starting in a contract capacity with potential to convert into a long-term leadership role.
This role is ideal for a highly technical sales strategist who thrives at the intersection of science, AI, and enterprise SaaS. You'll lead the go-to-market efforts for a groundbreaking end-to-end simulation platform that integrates seamlessly across the drug development lifecycle. From early discovery through regulatory filing, this platform is designed to serve as a scientific control plane across multiple functions in pharmaceutical R&D organizations.
You’ll act as a strategic consultant and relationship-builder, targeting major biopharma and biotech companies. You'll work directly with scientific and business stakeholders to uncover needs, align platform capabilities to strategic priorities, and build trusted partnerships that result in multi-million dollar, multi-year enterprise agreements.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the full consultative sales cycle for enterprise software engagements ranging from $100K to $5M+ annually.
- Engage and influence C-level executives, VPs, and scientific leaders across key pharma and biotech accounts.
- Communicate the technical and business value of an API-centric, model-governed AI simulation platform, including its use in workflow orchestration, regulatory compliance, and data governance.
- Collaborate closely with internal engineering and product teams to translate enterprise client requirements into platform enhancements.
- Build strategic account plans that support a land-and-expand approach across discovery, preclinical, clinical, CMC, and regulatory domains.
- Lead pricing, proposal development, and enterprise agreement negotiations with procurement and legal teams.
Qualifications
- 5–15 years of enterprise software sales experience with a focus on the pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences sectors.
- Demonstrated success in landing enterprise SaaS deals, particularly those valued at $100K+ per year and experience with deals exceeding $5M+.
- Strong network and trusted relationships with senior decision-makers within top 50 pharmaceutical companies or biotech organizations.
- Technical fluency in areas such as computational biology, molecular simulation, scientific computing, and AI/ML-based platforms.
- Deep understanding of the drug development lifecycle, including discovery, preclinical research, IND/NDA processes, and regulatory documentation.
- Comfortable discussing API architecture, model integration, security, and audit protocols with technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with compliance in CMC, FDA submissions, IP/patent processes, and other regulatory workflows.
Why You Should Apply
- Be a foundational contributor in a deeply mission-driven, science-forward organization tackling some of the most exciting challenges in biotech and AI.
- Opportunity to operate with high autonomy in a startup-style, high-impact environment.
- Competitive compensation, including a lucrative commission structure and potential for equity.
- Flexible consulting-to-permanent pathway tailored to your goals and availability.
