Mission Critical Electrical Engineer
Our client, a growing organization operating a global portfolio of high availability technical facilities, is seeking a Mission Critical Electrical Engineer to support the design, reliability, and performance of electrical infrastructure across multiple sites. This role focuses on reviewing engineering designs, supporting new facility development, and ensuring electrical systems meet strict uptime requirements.

Focus:
- Review vendor produced electrical engineering designs to ensure compliance with operational and performance requirements.
- Support electrical infrastructure planning for new facilities, upgrades, and expansions.
- Evaluate power distribution systems including UPS, generators, transformers, and switchgear.
- Provide technical guidance during facility design, installation, and commissioning phases.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, contractors, and operations staff to maintain reliable infrastructure.
- Support troubleshooting and technical reviews tied to system reliability and uptime.
- Participate in site visits tied to major project milestones and commissioning activities.
Skill Set:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 7 plus years of experience supporting electrical systems in mission critical environments such as data centers or hospitals.
- Experience with power infrastructure including UPS systems, switchgear, generators, and transformers.
- Experience with critical facilities (data centers, healthcare, manufacturing) preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Strong background reviewing electrical designs and collaborating with engineering vendors.
- Knowledge of electrical codes and facility power system best practices.
- Professional Engineer license preferred but not required.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to support project milestones.
