Join an innovative team at the forefront of revolutionizing industrial automation with AI-powered vision systems. This high-growth, VC-backed startup is transforming manufacturing operations through cutting-edge solutions that boost efficiency, improve safety, and elevate product quality. As they expand across North America, they’re seeking hands-on problem solvers ready to bring advanced technology into real-world production environments.

We're seeking a skilled and self-driven Deployment Engineer to lead on-site implementation of intelligent camera and AI systems in manufacturing facilities. This hybrid role combines technical integration, customer engagement, and real-time problem-solving. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, can independently manage installations, and bridges the gap between engineering innovation and operational success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute on-site deployments of industrial AI systems including installation, configuration, and calibration of cameras, lighting, compute modules, and sensors.
  • Collaborate with customer teams to integrate solutions with existing control systems and production lines.
  • Troubleshoot live deployment issues including hardware, networking, and software interfaces.
  • Conduct validation tests and ensure readiness for handoff to operational teams.
  • Facilitate data collection efforts on-site to support AI model training and refinement.
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison between internal engineering teams and customer stakeholders.
  • Document configurations and share deployment insights and best practices internally.
  • Support continuous improvement of field processes, working closely with development and product teams.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Degree in Electromechanical, Systems, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent hands-on experience).
  • Prior field experience in deploying or commissioning industrial systems or automation technology.
  • Comfortable working independently in customer manufacturing environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities, particularly in live production settings.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence in client-facing roles.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% across Canada and the U.S.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with machine vision hardware (e.g. cameras, lighting, optics).
  • Exposure to PLCs, industrial networks, and automation control systems.
  • Experience working with Linux-based systems and edge computing hardware.
  • Understanding of AI workflows or experience supporting data-driven model development.
  • Background in food & beverage, CPG, automotive, or packaging sectors.
  • Startup or high-growth deployment experience a plus.

What’s in it for You:

  • Be on the frontlines of deploying advanced AI solutions in real production environments.
  • High degree of ownership with visible impact on customers and product performance.
  • Work with world-class engineers and AI experts in a collaborative, innovative startup culture.
  • Travel across North America and gain exposure to a wide variety of factory settings and technologies.
