Vice President, Amazon Marketplace

We’re looking for a visionary and execution-focused Amazon leader who can accelerate top-line revenue, drive advertising efficiency, lead international marketplace expansion, and build an internal center of excellence for e-commerce. This is a prime opportunity for an accomplished Amazon executive ready to own the P&L and lead a full transformation - from strategy to structure to results.
Key Responsibilities
P&L Ownership & Growth Strategy
- Direct the Amazon business strategy, with full responsibility for P&L (U.S. and international).
- Drive topline revenue growth while managing margin and ROI expectations.
- Define and execute the roadmap for Amazon marketplace expansion across product categories and global storefronts.
Marketplace Excellence & Channel Optimization
- Establish best-in-class practices across content, conversion, and advertising within Amazon platforms (Seller Central, Vendor Central, and hybrid models).
- Analyze competition, monitor trends, and adjust pricing, positioning, and spend accordingly.
- Explore opportunities with emerging marketplaces and partner integrations.
Advertising Leadership & ROI Accountability
- Lead all Amazon ad initiatives, including Sponsored Products, DSP, and seasonal promotions.
- Oversee daily ad budget allocations and performance dashboards to hit KPIs such as ACOS, ROAS, and conversion.
- Deploy test-and-learn strategies for creative optimization, audience segmentation, and campaign scaling.
Forecasting, Inventory, and Operational Alignment
- Collaborate closely with demand planning and supply chain teams to forecast inventory needs and avoid stockouts or overstock scenarios.
- Build processes for SKU-level forecasting and ensure supply chain readiness for planned promotions and new launches.
New Product Launches
- Drive Amazon-first product strategies, coordinating internal teams to ensure on-time, on-brand, and high-ROI rollouts.
- Establish performance KPIs and success metrics for new products and campaigns.
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Assess and restructure the current team and/or external agency relationships; build out a high-performing internal Amazon team.
- Act as the strategic bridge between marketing, operations, finance, and executive leadership.
- Cultivate a data-driven, high-energy, high-integrity team culture.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Required Experience
- 10+ years of digital commerce experience, including 5+ years in senior leadership owning Amazon strategy and P&L.
- Proven success growing a $50M+ Amazon business directly (not via resellers only).
- Expertise in Amazon advertising platforms, listing optimization, demand forecasting, and inventory strategy.
- Strong financial acumen and the ability to build, monitor, and adapt strategy based on KPIs.
- Experience in consumer packaged goods, wellness, supplements, or adjacent verticals strongly preferred.
