Senior DC Asset & Logistics Specialist

Locations (on-site): Buffalo NY • Houston TX • Aberdeen TX

A hyper-growth technology company operating several large-scale compute campuses is expanding its material-handling and asset-tracking teams. We are looking for experienced logistics leaders who can bring rigor, speed, and data-driven thinking to the full hardware lifecycle— from dock receipt to deployment and, ultimately, responsible decommissioning. If you thrive in high-volume technical environments and want a front-row seat to the infrastructure powering next-generation AI, we’d love to meet you.

What You’ll Do

  • Direct cradle-to-grave tracking for servers, networking gear, and supporting hardware, ensuring 99 %+ inventory accuracy in the asset database.
  • Coordinate inbound verification, tagging, and system registration of thousands of units each month while driving continuous process improvements.
  • Plan and execute outbound shipments to global service providers and internal build sites, aligning carrier choice, documentation, and cost targets with SLA commitments.
  • Maintain real-time visibility over spares and consumables, performing cyclic counts and root-cause analysis to prevent stock-outs that could stall deployment or break-fix queues.
  • Partner with operations engineers to stage build kits for large expansion waves, balancing speed with safe material-handling practices.
  • Drive vendor performance on RMAs, warranty exchanges, and reverse logistics, tracking turnaround KPIs and escalating aging cases.
  • Produce dashboards on turns, dwell time, and capital utilization, surfacing improvement opportunities and launching lean projects that cut waste and shrink cycle time.
  • Champion a culture of safety and documentation excellence, updating SOPs and training technicians on ERP/asset-management tools.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years leading logistics, inventory, or supply-chain operations in data-center, semiconductor, electronics manufacturing, or similar high-throughput technical settings.
  • Demonstrated ownership of asset-management systems (ERP, CMDB, WMS) with a track record of driving data cleanliness and reporting automation.
  • Working knowledge of IT or industrial hardware fundamentals and the discipline to handle ESD-sensitive equipment safely.
  • Strong analytical skills— comfortable turning Excel/SQL (or similar) data into actionable insights.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across engineering, procurement, and vendor teams under tight deployment schedules.
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Engineering, or similar; equivalent experience considered.

Why You’ll Love It Here

  • Mission-critical impact - your work directly supports the infrastructure enabling cutting-edge AI and high-performance computing.
  • Multiple career paths across new site launches, global logistics strategy, and people leadership as we continue to scale.
  • Competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and generous PTO from day one.
  • Relentlessly high-performing yet supportive culture that values innovation, transparency, and continuous improvement.
